Housekeeping Manager at Koa Kea Hotel & Resort at Poipu Beach
The Housekeeping Manager supervises work activities of the entire housekeeping department to ensure a clean, quality and luxurious hotel. Maintain all housekeeping standard operating procedures and is responsible for maintaining property cleanliness standards. He/She also oversees the assignment of duties to ensure equality and fairness, inspection of rooms to ensure that cleanliness standards are met, and investigation of complaints regarding unsatisfactory housekeeping services to ensure guest satisfaction. Purchase departmental supplies and equipment as needed and take periodic inventories. Screen applicants, train new associates, evaluate, coach & counsel and discipline associates.

Housekeeper for Private Residence (metro Detroit area)
Brief description of the home and qualifications of ideal candidate:
The house is 25,000 sq.ft with both a indoor pool and gymnasium, seven bedrooms, approximately 15 bath and lavs as well as offices, theater, living and dining rooms and large kitchen.
The house sits on approximately 10 acres. Between the current seven employees, independent contractors, family and friends and guests the house sees a lot of traffic requiring constant up-keep.
Qualified candidate should have above average intellect and the ability to think on their feet including thoughtfulness and reflectfulness. Will not be expected to make complex decisions, though should above average problem solving ability.
This person should also have good energy mentally and physically with a high activity level and physically be able to keep up the pace.
Their personality should be one of friendliness, agreeableness, sociability, emotional stability and cheerfulness.
Normal housekeeping duties should be expected with deep cleaning on a less frequent bases.
This person should also have good organizational skills and be a self starter and not one who needs to be told what to do.
The person should be open to training and direction during their probationary period and able to work without supervision after their training period has expired.
This person should not only want but also need this job. A person with the above mentioned skill set looking for a position with good wages, great medical & dental benefits for themselves and family members, 401K plan, paid vacation and a nice working environment with "good" people.
Monday through Friday 7:00AM - 3:00PM with a half hour paid lunch, 40 hours a week. Discretionary raises and year end bonus. Salary range upper $30s-$40k
This person should be looking for long term employment rather than something to get them by for now.
On a personal note, the house is a really nice place to work and anyone who works there knows how fortunate they are to be there. Will report to the House Manager on a daily basis.
